Gary R. Will is the senior partner at WILL
Barristers: Morin & Miller.
He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1982. During his studies he also
received a Certificate in Civil Law from the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec,
and a Certificate in Private International Law, The Hague, Netherlands.
Gary Will was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984 and has a specialized
practice exclusively in the area of civil litigation. His preferred areas
of practice include personal injury law, products liability, professional
negligence, insurance, environmental, bad faith, and class action litigation.
Gary is certified by the Law Society as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.
Gary Will is a Past-President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association
and is the Provincial delegate to the Association of Trial Lawyers of
America. He is the recipient of the H. T. Bruce Hillyer Award presented
by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association on June 1, 1996, in recognition
of an outstanding contribution to the cause of civil justice, having
exemplified the spirit of OTLA in fearlessly advancing the cause of individual
rights by the effective use of trial advocacy. He was a finalist for
the 2002 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award established by Trial Lawyers
for Public Justice.
He has written and lectured on insurance-related topics to a number
of groups and associations, including the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario
Trial Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America.
